This is Scotty he started hunting with us at 6 years old, he's 7 now. He's done good first year two gold rings, I thought he was going to quit he had the I'm better then everyone attitude. This year he found his first silver ring. He couldn't find a silver coin though. But today that just changed he got one! 36 Washington

He has done pretty good for the short time he has been detecting!,
Look at that big smile…. I think he is hooked on metal detecting!…😁👍
He is hooked. He hangs in there doesn't complain and I forget he's a kid sometimes, like he was with me he found a buffalo nickel he walked over and said he found one. Like ten minutes later it registered to me that probably was his first one and it was. I need to start making it more of a big deal when he finds something
 
He sure looks happy :D
He seems ready with the finds bag, pinpointer holster and gloves. An 800 w/custom shaft - ready to go!
I sure miss taking the kids, grand kids and dogs out detecting.
When I would find a target that seem worth digging, those youngsters seem eager to find the target - especially coins or any kind of tot lot toys.
 
Kids who treasure hunt don't mug little old lady's. They ask them for permission.
