I love reading and talking about the F75

I truly love reading and talking about the F75. There are so many different ground conditions in the world to contend with, but the F75 has what it takes to adapt. You only have to experiment for your area. What works fantastic in Florida, might not work for every location in Virginia, Maryland etc. My area holds three different ground conditions of which require different settings (mode, sensitivity, discrimination, ground balance, frequency or a combination of two or more) on my F75 to perform well. At one of my locations, I have to run in all metal (not much trash, but high FEO readings) to get the full amount of performance from my machine.

if you start in low sensitivity won't the deep targets be hard to find. i have tried on my sovereign locating a target an then the sensitivity to see how it affects depth.

Good post.

You know interestingly I've F75 LTD sweep speed to be versatile. Some machines need an increased or decreased sweep speed for better TID, cutting down on falsing or just plain getting the deepies. I've found on the F75 LTD that I can use a fast or slow sweep speed, it just depends on hunting conditions. If I'm in trash I can go as slow as I want in order to pick though all the junk and light up a good target, if I'm in an area with few targets then I can swing fast like I'm swinging a scythe, and when I get into an area with more targets slow down for further investigation. If there's a good target (silver coin for instance) it will hit it hard, even if swinging fast.

i tried lowering the sensitivity on my t-2 today. the first signal i got read as a coin, good sound, 5 iches deep. i lowered the sensitivity all the way to one and still got a signal but very low. turned out to be a rusted bottle cap.

The chatter on my F75 will usually settle down with a sensitivity setting from 60 to 80. These settings are still considered high sensitivity. Don't go to low just back off enough to quieten the machine down. Some areas will require lower settings, but before going to low, change the frequencies. I have one area where a frequency of F6 is required to settle the machine down.

I have noticed that coins will really bang hard even if they are off of your normal swing area. I have jumped over into a different row while hunting in corn fields, because I got a strong signal off of the side while working another row. Not sure it happens every time, but has happened more than once. Now if Indiana would get 15 or 20 degrees warmer, I would be happy to test.

I've noticed that my F2 has ridiculous depth in pinpoint mode and was wondering if the F75 LTD's Boost Mode was
a highly refined adaptation of the same technology???
