I got in a couple hours hunting after work today. I hit a high school close to where I work. It was just littered with junk, so I thought I'd put my 5.5" Excelerator DD coil on the 2500, just to see how it would work out. I have previously used it on the GTI 1500 with some success, so why not the GTI 2500. It got good depth, but the pinpointing wasn't as good as the Garrett 4.5" Sniper coil. The ID also worked in true all metal mode, which was another reason I used it today. I wasn't sure if it would....but it did flawlessly.

I got lots of coin in a couple of hours. This particular area was one where a small coil would out-perform a large coil, as the junk was so thick in places that the stock coil would have a hard time IDing a coin with so much junk under the scanning area at one time.
