I couldnt wait to get back to the park again today after yesterdays hunt, especially after finding 2 Mercs. I had some time in between jobs today and brought the Explorer with me except this time I put the X-5 coil on and hunted again in the trashy picnic areas hoping to find some old coins other hunters may have missed. Unbelievably, I ended up finding another Merc ('43), only "5 deep. The signal was bouncing but sounding decent. I couldnt believe it when I found it, tons of people have been over this spot including myself with a dozen other machines. The other coin is a '56 Wheat. Thats 3 Mercs in less than 24hrs for me. Finding silver is such a mood booster,:bouncy: I know this is nothing compare to what most of you guys are finding, I can only imagine how you guys must feel who are finding it on a regular basis. Glad I got to go hunting today, rain is forecasted for the next 4 days. And I have my girls this weekend.
Thanks for looking.
Aaron

:usaflag:There are a few people out there who whine when they only find a few merc's in a hunt. They're the ones who need a reality check.

Nice finds for you...congrats !

Aaron...don't sell your accomplishments short. That is AWESOME to find 3 mercs in that timeframe. Heck it's great to find just one. I'm happy if I'm that lucky.

As for more huntin'...it'll wait. Enjoy those girls this weekend brother.

I am with you. That is a good score, I would be stoked.

Buck up little cowboy.... think of all those yards you can ask permission on once the rain gets um wet. Like Bryce said.... enjoy your children once they get too busy you get to thinking of all the things you could have or should have done with them. These are good times my man. On the bright side.... we may get the left over silver, but you arent just digging clad. Nice finds.

Explorer is probably the best silver coin on the planet and I have used a lot of units so if you have the area to hunt your silver count will sure go up and any day with a silver is a good day.

Most important enjoy the girls as times flies and no reruns...Although my daughter and son are 40 and 45 and live near me I still don't get to see them as often as I like as they have their own lives and yes I do get flashbacks when i see that little blond girl or dark haired boy so enjoy as will be lots of time to detect once they are grown...

Use the Macro setting if you are not.

about the Macro mode, infact I feel theres alot yet I dont know about this machine yet. I'm so used to my CZ's, they seem a little easier to understand.
Thanks

Hi,
I've looked over the manuel and cannot find the Macro mode.
Please advise.
Thank you,
Aaron

That's a camera mode, not the Minelab (macro mode is for taking close-up pictures). Wish there was a macro mode on the Minelab; would help in the trashy spots without changing coils...

oh boy I feel dumb.:stars: Actually Im just using my 1meg camera phone. I'll start using a real camera again.
Thanks
