IDX Pro coils

Are there other coil options avaiable for the IDX besides the stock coil? If so, do dealers still handle them? Many thanks Txquest

Yes there are other coils. The Blue Max 350 or Shooter coil is a 4" coil, the Black Max 5.3, or Blue max 600 are both 6" coils that will work on the IDX Pro. The Black Max or Blue Max 800 coils are 8" in diameter. As you already know, the stock coil is the Black Max 950. Also the BigFoot coil made for the 6.59 kHz White's detectors like the Eagle or Spectrum will also work. Check the White's site for availability of these coils new. The BigFoot can only be bought used as they are no longer in production.

I forgot about the 12" Hot Shot coil because everyone should forget about the Hot Shot. Probably the worst accessory coil I ever tried.
