Iffy signal produced a Seated

Got out for a short while this morning, the heat and humidity was a killer. Hunted an old sugar cane plantation. Found a few wheats and one silver 1876s Seated dime. 7-8 inches deep. First seated dime! We also dug a revolver, I'll get pictures of the gun when we get it cleaned up.

Nice find Bill! Congratulations and thanks for the pictures and the story!!

Bill did the Iffy sound Like Silver and was it just one way??? Good Job A , Thanks , Mickfin

Got me beat by 1 year on that seated.

These modern day coins just do not have that great classy look to them like those old ones do.

The iffy signal was just very bouncy 43-44-45, never really locked in. The coin was so deep that the coil had to be passed directly over the coin/target to get the best signal. The depth indicated 10 inches and deeper. I knew it was something small and deep, should of grabbed the video camera. Just do a air test with a coin about 10 inches or more from the coil and you will get something very similar to what I heard. The gun was a revolver, not sure how hold, maybe 40-50 years old. The gun had to have been buried, it was about 12-15 inches deep in the back yard of an old home. Kind of weird!!!
