I'm thinking of getting a gold hound

Hey everyone,

First time posting in the deeptech forum. I want to get a gold hound and I was wondering if anyone has gotten the concentric 8 inch for it and how it performs. I see that you can choose the gold hound as a coil option on the 8 inch even though the coil has vista x in the name. I feel like it would be a great coil in iron with the high frequency of the gold hound.

I had the Vista X and it was a fantastic detector. The coil that became my favorite was the 8" Concentric, as I had all the coils. I initially considered the Gold Hound because I prefer the higher frequency.
I'm sure you won't be disappointed with that coil. Richard at Backwoods Detectors is the person to talk too, as he is a Deeptech dealer.

I do not see that the 8” Concentric coil is available/compatible with the New Gold Hound looking at Deep Tech’s website.

Well, Google's AI seems to think that the 8" Concentric will work on the Gold Hound, but I would still give Richard a call, as he would definitely know.
I don't trust all the answers that I get from AI.

I got the concentric coil for the gold hound. It performs very well, but I haven't found any targets yet that I don't think my Tejon could find.
