Found this medallion a while back and was wondering if anyone has seen or knew what it was. No markings on it just the painted indian head.

I have nothing to offer as far as history, but that has got to be the coolest find and most intriguing find I have ever seen. Let us all know what you find.

Thanks for the awesome post,
Moose

I was thinking like a kids play token or medallion but I am not sure. Wasn't able to find any info on it at all:shrug:

Man. That looks like it has some age on it. Very unique find. Thanks for the picture.

I found what appears to be something similar to what you have. I found this in south Georgia. My mother-in-law explained that these were attached to school year books (I believe she said in the 1950's). The one I have shown doesn't represent the school mascot; however, perhaps yours has something to do with one of the local or even former schools. It may not hurt to ask around. Good luck...

I bet that's it! It was found at a 1896 country schoolyard in a field. That didn't even occur to me until you said that. The school has been long gone and its just cropland now. That's cool thankyou

That is a cool find, very interesting.

Let us know what you find out...

I just received a shiny, new E-Trac in the mail today. I feel bad for my Safari...
