Indian/Wheat Spill with a Nail

Found this collection of seven pennies within a six inch area on an old curb strip. I think the only reason this hasn't been picked up before is the nail was right there with them. Again evidence of how amazing the etrac is. The two Wheats are 1911 and 1912 and of the Indians I can read, all are 190x. Pennies look like they've been hit in the ground at some point and are very toasted. You can just imagine this spill occurring sometime in the teens...

Great find, regardless of condition. I found one last week and could only make out the shield and was happy as heck. I would take that any day! What pattern were you using and tell us a little more about how they rang up, I have almost passed on a couple coin spills because of the strong signal and large area.

They are still cool finds, but I believe that coins by curbs are subjected to salt in the winter and fertilizer in the spring. It is hard on the little guys, it is a good thing you rescued them.

Nice pocket spill find.

Love it when the coins come out with iron from the same hole.
