inexpensive CTX screen and control box protector

Say 'hello' to my little friend!
By chance I was at a sporting goods store and found this monkey for 4 bucks. . .
It is a golf club protector to cover the head of a golf club driver.
Apparently golfers are as goofy meticulous as detectorists when it comes to protecting their gear, as this cover is heavily padded and lined with super-soft felt.
It stretches perfectly over the control box and over the detector grip so you can carry it nicely.
I find that most of the dings that my gear has gotten over the years happened during transport rather than during use. This cover installed helps get the CTX in and out of the car without worry, and when I reach the hunting spot it removes easily and gets tucked into my pocket.
Oh yeah-
they come plain too, without the monkey! :)

Thanks for looking.

:)Interesting idea. Don't know how many times (luckily no serious damage) I have inadvertently banged my CTX's control box just transporting it/taking it out of the car.

A unique and novel idea, indeed.
