Interesting experience with the Slimline coil on the E-TRAC

I have a few highly "iffy" buried targets in the yard. Saturday I spent several hours with several detectors working with these targets, trying to find thebest settings and detector/coil combos. I still have my ExplorerSE and the Slimline coil that came with it. I bought a Pro coil as soon as it came out and never looked back, I like the Pro coil a lot but Saturday afternoon I tried both the Pro coils to see how they responded with no settings changed. I just got the signal as good as I could with one Pro coil, powered down, switched to the other, and tried again. There was no difference, However, and this shocked me, there was a noticable better TID when I powered down and swtiched to the Slimline. I would never have thought it but I was trying everything. I got a more stable and more correct TID, on this particular buried iffy target. It is a minnie at about 8". I am going to have to give the Slimline another look out on a real site.

Has anyone else tried the SLimline coil on an E-TRAC? Have you noticed any difference? If you have one... will you try it and see how it does for you? I'd like to know.

I've used the Slimline on the E-Trac and it worked fine. I noticed no difference good or bad from the pro coil, but I did not set up any tests like you did. Did it still find silver coins? Old coins? Yep.
I have never had any trouble with the Slimline on either the Exp or the E-Trac.
