Back on August 17 I posted the results of a short hunt using 75 sens. 0 disc 2a mode. I've been back to that same spot for 2 more brief hunts. As you can imagine by the pictures this spot is is an emi nightmare . Even for DST. Some days worse than others but always a tuff go. The last 2 hunts were 2 of those worse days. I most always use BP mode but in some situations it's a little to hot so I use the 2+ series of modes. But on these 2 hunts out of frustration I began to try every setting I could to see what might be the best under the circumstances. CL mode is the deepest and most sensitive one we have on the T2. But believe it or not this is the one that did the trick even in this crackling atmosphere. I was able to set sens at 95 (99 was a little much) and 0 disc. It ran quiet. I finally was able to unscramble the good tones from the not so good ones. It's a given that you have to use a slow sweep speed with CL mode, no problem for me, I'm slow anyway. The only situation that took me a few minutes to figure out was the delayed response to a good target. Some targets would sound off a few inches past the target while the coil was heading up in the air. But by going over the ground where I felt the tone originated using shorter sweeps it banged them out. This happened on some targets but not all. Separation was no problem as long as I went slow. It's separation was real nice. Those 150 year old nails you see we're masking some bullets, but little bits of high tones swinging slow, were creeping in amongst the low tone. So I dugem.
