I googled for King and Country and I got a lot of info for The Newfoundland Royal Naval Reserve! I didn't get anything for the NFLD.

What ever it is, it's a dandy find...........

This was the badge which was issued to people who offered their services during World War one,in Newfoundland and were rejected for one reason or another. It was worn proudly by all who aquired them,as sign of their shot at trying to do their duty.On the very top is the issue number,in the center is a map of Newfoundland and the letters NFLD.This is surrounded by;FOR KING AND COUNTRY.On the bottom it reads;I HAVE OFFERED.
