Interesting Naval History find

Hi All,
Had a chance to hit an old Church this weekend. Found this old Naval Excellence for Production Award. On back it states that it was given to
Packard Marine Division which built boat or ship engines. Did some digging and found out they were issued to civilian companies during WWII for their part in the war effort. The practice was discontinued after the wars end. Not sure what it is made of. Be honest, I don't remember what it rang up. It is missing the pin back. Sorry about the poor pix quality, but I am at work waiting for a flt to Panama and using my cell phone.
Thanks for looking,
Bunker

I bet not many those have been found

Very, very cool finds... I have nothing to offer as far as history of this pin, but very cool none the less.

Very neat find Bunker. Thanks for the picture.

By the way I'm so glad it wasn't a "history" about your bellybutton.
