Interference problems?

What kind of interference ?

Not trying to be a wise guy, but there's a lot of different kinds of interferance to deal with out there. One could be getting it from the ground, it could be from overhead power lines, someone hunting near you, or on the outside, it could be from aircraft.

If you think it was caused by electrial interference, did you try changing frequencys, the T-2 had 7 steps to choose from.

If it were the ground, I would fist make sure the ground balance wasn't out, and the sensitivity wasn't set to high. If it was caused because someone was hunting too close to you, try throwing rocks at him, that helps sometimes. :)

All kidding aside, give us a little bit more info. It would help. :help:

sensitivity is one off the biggest problems but by dropping a few points can settle the T2 ,down,I also find putting discrim on to about 30 seems to help in some places .

a bit more so then the Coinstrike. I only noticed it around areas where power lines were. I would hit another frequency and lower the sensitivity and this would help most of the time, but there were a couple of spots that even these fixes wouldn't help alot.

Now, this was with an older model T2, without the Rev6 revisions. I hear the newer T2's with the 6 revisions have better shielding on the cable which helps with the interference, but I haven't tried a newer T2 as yet to verify this.

BUT, even with the interference issue, the T2 is one hot detector and was really fun to use. If I had to choose between a less hot T2 or deal with a little annoying interference, I would choose the annoying interference any day.

went from chatter to quiet by switching channels a couple of times. The only place i've had a problem was a yard with invisible dog fencing but my other machines had a problem there too.

Don't worry about it with the newer T2.

I had one of the earlier models and was very disappointed with the interference. Just getting near power lines near the house it was really chattery even in pre set mode.I sent it back for the upgrades and mentioned the electrical noise problem in my letter and when it came back it was totally quiet even around my cell phone which before was no way it would work near my phone. It seems they may have done something to my coil since it had what looked like a repair on the back of the hump on the coil. They did a nice job if they cut it open and re sealed it but the girl that works on them only speaks Spanish and there was no note in my unit to tell what was done. All I can say is mine was fine after the R6.

I get some chatter when I get too near power lines, but I normaly hunt wide open. I run sensitivity between 75 and 90, usually 80 or 85. Even if you get a little chatter it will not change your signal from targets, just a little annoying until I clear the power lines. Going to see what the T2 will sniff out tomorrow, only a 36 caliber pistol ball and Indian head penny today. Good hunting and a Happy New Year.

with machine switched OFF .start by pushing trigger forward and holding in grey button .now switch on machine with other hand .the numbers 6.0 should appear on your screen if it does you have the latest software version

Thanks!
I have 6.0...one doubt solved...Thanks!

R6 installed...im hope to change frequency.

The statement you made about it turning on OK, but after 10 min. it starts to act up, may be the answer here. If thats the case it may be an internal problem that needs to be returned to the factory for a look.

a couple of things ,either to much sens ,not enough disc ,buried electric cables or not ground balancing properly .try another site first of all to see ifs its the site .turn on machine pump coil up and down with the trigger pushed forward .set sens.to 65 ,disc to 10 ,and try it in 4 tones after detecting for ten minutes push trigger forward and pump coil again to fast grab ground do this every ten minutes and let us know how you get on .i know its basic set up but you might be doing something wrong .also make sure you are using decent alkaline batteries preferably duracell .
then let us know how your getting on
