Is it real, or is it a toy?

I have these two finds that I’d like help with info.

The first one I’m guessing is a toy, but I’m not sure. I say toy because of how thin it is, I’m just not sure.

The second one looks to be something off of a military uniform.

Any info appreciated.

Just a guess, but I think if someone one was awarded the same medal over a number of years they would stack them, one above the other with the most recent on top of the stack.
