Is supplied E-Trac coil waterproof ?

Can someone help me please, I want to know if it is safe to use the supplied E-Trac 11" coil in say a foot of fresh water. Can't find any mention in the manual. Many thanks.

Yes up to the control box and connection but, BU,T don't lift the lower rod with the coin over above parallel or the water will run down the rod into the connector and control box and then it's by, by time for your detector.

Been using mine in 12 to 15 inches of saltwater. (Low tide inland bays)
If it aint waterproof it is toast.

Don't forget to take it off occasionally to get the grains out.
