Just curious if one is able to update the software version of the E-trac?

not sure any minelabs can be updated.

It would be nice if one could hook it up to a computer and do a test to make sure all the components are at 100% or tell you that this component is beginning to fail and to send it in before it does.
Kind of like an electronic check-up for your car that you plug in below the dash.
