Is this a geode?

Can anyone tell me what this is? Found on south central Kentucky. Very sparkly on the inside. Is it a geode? It’s not bumpy like I’m used to

Looks like a geode to me. Might be quartz, or any other type of geode. Did you find it on the ground, or chip it out of the rock it formed in?

It appears to be solid clear through and not hollow. Is it spherical? If both are true, it is not a geode, although geodes are common in spots of neighboring Indiana. I suspect it’s also granular if you get a close look at it. It may be an ironstone nodule or concretion. If so, the iron cemented together the surrounding sandstone to create the spherical shape. It would be the quartz of the sand grains which is sparkling.
If you can tell me about where you found it I can look it up on the local geologic quadrangle map and see which units in the area might’ve produced it.

Yup...could easily be a nodule rather than a geode. Hard to tell from the pics. Kind of an odd center color.
