I couldn't tell you if it's legit or not. I have heard of some fakes being made out there. I'd be a little wary of it ,,, but might would try it just to find out if it is real.
 
Don't look at the picture that has the garrett on it. Look further down the page. It is a Chinese knock off. They advertise the Garrett and then sell you the GP. It is yellow to make you think that it is the same as the Carrot but it is not. It only has one setting either on or off. I have seen it on the auction site for as little as $12.99 shipped. I would not buy one if it was $1.99. You might get lucky and get one that will work a little and then you might not.
