Is Variability a Filter?

Member
If so,,, would that cut down on depth if you lower it more then max.
Also, If you lower your Tone Variability do you have to lower your tone limits.
Thanks

Variability is not a filter in the way that "deep" "fast" or "high trash" are. It will not delay the audio response or alter the fe-co signal. It will also have no impact on depth. What it will do is increase the spectrum of audio signals, making the lowest tones lower, the highest tones higher, and increasing the range of audio in between. In a sense, it is increasing the "audio resolution" of targets, making it easier to hear the difference between, say for example, an fe signal of 42 vs an fe signal of 46.
