I found this one in an old park along lake michigan. Not sure what happened to it? But believe it or not, it's what's left of a barber quarter. Fire maybe? Cool find regardless.

Pretty cool find ... and nice diggin' on the other coins pictured.:thumbup: Stuff like the barber always make me wonder about the path it took getting where it wound up.
 
GR, it's better than the LC I found today (see reply to your other post). I think, as in MS coins, there needs to be a range of grading between complete slug and AG. I can sorta see the head and which way it's facing would be about a C-02. (Crap-02) :)

Dreamweaver, you got that right! I'd be happy. I'm still waiting for my first Barber anything. (But I have high hopes.) At that rate of deterioration, it probably would have been completely unrecognizable in 50 years (at least going by the photo). Just think, you saved it from complete extinction. You should take it to a dealer and ask them to grade it just to see their reaction. :)
