It is now up!! "New" Sun Ray Stealth X-5 Field Test article on our website!

Great review! I've been using my X-5 for about a month now and the thing is just incredible in the trashy sites. For such a small coil the depth is amazing!

I had been wanting the X-5 and Bryce's review kicked me over the edge, So far, I have made only one trip out with the new coil on my E-Trac, I went to a super pounded trash infested local school yard... Got skunked, but resolved to pull silver out of the trash if our weather would only cooperate. It's been 25-35 mph "breeze" weather for the past week.

Boy that is impressive or is it just for the write up? How much do they run, any ideas?

I bought an E- Trac in July and I already had the 5.5 Sunray coil which I had used on my previous Explorer.I ended up using this coil pretty much exclusively in mostly urban park sites. It worked fantastic for me. I found 44 rings with it including 3 diamond rings, one a man's 9 gram 42 diamonds appraised at $1800.It has great depth and separation,is extremely accurate. I hunted exclusively for jewelry and found lots of it.I used the numbers given by Andy Sabisch in his latest book on the E-Trac and Explorer. I always thought big before, but now I hunt with the small coil and found as much or more than my hunting patrner using a standard coil. It is a great coil and I would recommend it highly. I recently bought the excelerator 6" and the 12x15" SEF coil. I can't wait for spring when I can test them both out.
