I am painting my old garage and yesterday I noticed that bees had made it home. There was a little hole in the side and they were constantly going in and out. Heck I had to paint!
I took a piece of thin cedar and with my air nailer-so I could do it fast- and slapped it on and bang bang bang bang, it was secure and I was a running.
I figured the bees would be dead or gone this morning but I was wrong. The outside ones were a buzzing around and I could hear the inside ones a buzzing too. What to do??
Well a smart person would just spray them but I did not want to get spray of the siding I wanted to paint so I went and painted what I could. Now all I had to do is paint where the bees were.
Finally I said to heck with it and moved in on them. I just told myself, "Myself! They will not bite you if you move slow and easy and just ignore them. They will buzz you a bit but they don't want to lose their stinger over a slow moving man with a paint brush!"
Well that is what I did. I just moved in on them and started a painting away. They buzzed me and kept hitting my head but just to drive me away I guess but I was not gonna go anywhere unless they started a stinging!
As I sat on the cement block and slung paint I noticed that the ones inside were not trapped at all! They had found another way out, down against the ground, which was right between this dumbasses painters planted feet. Well I just had a little more to do and did it.
I just finished up and backed away and never got bit once. Now was I lucky or what? Was I stupid or what? Well I got it painted!
I do not suggest anyone else try this
