I have been doing this field in the UK for about 6 weeks and it was coming to the end of its goods. I had found the Mason's fob from Victorian times and quite alot of old stuff including about 8 old silver coins including some hammered
Reading all this 2 tone ferrous stuff, I thought why not?
So, I got to the field and switched it over from multi conduct which I like since it shows me the silver well
So, I start out and immediately get this high signal and maybe a small low one. I dig it and use the X1 to follow the signal I want to follow. Not far away with the increased continuous tone of the signal via the pinpoint on the probe getting closer, I start using my sharp trowel
And this pops out:
Wow! And then the field changed into a totally new one. I started digging deeper, even on only 21 Manual
This came out:
and this, too
and other thingies so I knew there was some more quality stuff in the field.
My thought is that this tone setting doesn't over-complicate things for the computer inside the etrac. It is just a Yes or a No or a Ferrous or Non-Ferrous.
Anyhow, fill your boots!
