Today i decided to drive about 40 minutes and head to a park that i have never been to or seen before... As soon as i got there i liked what i saw... The park just had age written all over it... Huge trees everywhere... The ground was a lot dryer there than in Richmond and was kinda bummed out! But very soon after i had my first Indian for the day.. A 1899... Then i noticed some other guy out coin shooting as well,, I walked over and it ended up being JimIN.. Super guy! we talked for a bit and he told me that the area we were standing in is one that has been really producing lately.. Well we started off and pretty soon i had another 2 Indians a couple wheat's and a barber dime.... It started getting really hot so Jim said lets go check out this other park that has treated him pretty well... We got there and right off the bat i pulled another Indian... Things were going pretty well... We both had some great finds, then Jim got to the middle of the field,, He called me over and said listen,, This has to be a dime... I ran the coil over it and yep it sounded great... And it was super deep.. Jim dug down,,, The dug some more,, and more.. i was leaning over Jim's shoulder waiting for the sight of silver to appear from the ground!!! And sure enough it was a dime all right,,, How about a 10 to 11 inch clad dime
i about fell over and cried!! Definitely the high light of my day
After we parted i stopped at a little park on the way home and saved another wheaty and an old flat button... For the day i ended up with one Barber dime 1914, 4 injuns, 1885, 1899, 1900 and a 1905 and 5 wheats, 1910, 13, 17D, 18D plus one if those rare 1944's. Not to bad for some dry ground... Thanks for looking, and Thanks Jim for putting me on some goodies
