Jan. 24th finds

Louisiana Ken

New member
1st time out for 2010 in St. Tammany Parish. Hunted an 1820's raised French acadian for the 20+ time. I go over the same area and find something neat everytime. I believe the 1/2 token reads GREENBUCK CO. Unknown design on the obv. and what looks like a ship on the rev. It's made out of lead or pewter. Pulled out an 1840 dime with a hole in it :( and my 1st ever flat button made sometime between 1785 and 1800. I always pull out what looks like camp lead and got my 5th or so fired musket or pistol ball. There were plenty of square nails to go with the good finds. The IH looked like it was soaking in acid (could't read the date). I'm going to hunt underneath the house next time. Thanks for looking and HH!

Great stuff Ken - looks like a bullet hole in the dime !
