Jim West Pa, what is the latest on your pet bat? Did it..............

dryin in the warm air inside a big plastic tub and after he dried completey i figgured he'd fly away.
Well my daughter brot it to my attention that they cannot take off like a bird.
They need to be able to fall into flight.
I took him upstairs into one of our under construction bed rooms and put him atop a step ladder.
He imediately began to walk around and explore the ladder.
After about 15 minutes he flopped down off of it and flew up into the attic.
Grampa, is good as new and back home in the attic.

I was curious if he survived the cleaning and all the commotion...great to know that he is OK. Kelley (Texas) :)

I too had my concerns.
I was afraid that the Dawn dish soap might dry his skin out too much.
Not to meantion that they are very fragile animals and i was concerened about bone damage from all the handleing.
