Headed back to the Fairgrounds once again on Saturday to see what else I could pull. Went back to the same area once again and started reworking it. And sure enough, there were a few more Coins to be found. Tim also met up with me and tried the Concentric 8" Coil of Rick(ND's) for a few hours. He was surprised how well it could get between Bottle Caps and Nails. He found a 1907 Indian Head at about 7" or more which proved that it went deep enough to find them Old Coins in amongst the Trash and Iron. I am unsure of Tim's Totals but I do know he found 1 Merc, 2 Rosie's, an Indian Head, some Wheat's, a Clad Half Dollar and 2 Rings. Nice Going Tim! Between the Concentric Coil 8" and the Joey Coil 5"X10", the Joey could get Louder and Clearer Signals than that of the Concentric Coil. I came across a Signal that read like a Half Dollar would but would bounce around a bit. I had Tim come over and see what he thought the Target could be. He said there was a Shallower Target about 3" away from where I said I had a good repeatable signal at and thought I was catching this Target off the edge of it which would have made the Target register Deeper than what it really is. I told him I could be but when I rescanned the Target, I went to Pinpoint and I could tell there were 2 Targets, not 1. I dug the Deeper Target that the Concentric couldn't see and found a Wheat Penny. I am unsure just how deep the Wheat was but it was Deep, around 8"+. But there could have been some different settings on Tim's Explorer 2 than that of my Explorer XS which may have been the cause of no signal. I do know he was running Fast On and Deep On together while I was using Fast On Only. His Gain could also been lower than the 10 I run with. Still was a good testing for the Concentric Coil and I may give it a shot sometime myself. Now as for the finds, here is what I found. I was able to retrieve 12 more Silver. They consisted of 2 Barber Dimes dated 1900 and 1912, 9 Mercury Dimes dated (2)1941-d's,1942,1942-d,(2)1943-d's,1944,1944-d,1945-s, and 1 Roosevelt Dime dated 1951-d. For Nickels, I found 2 Jefferson Nickels both dated 1940-d. I will be posting the Indians and Nickels together here to save space. The Indian Heads I found were dated 1880 and 1891. I didn't clean the 1880 fully due to it being in bad shape. I wish it would have been in the shape the 1891 is, but oh well! In Part 2, I will be posting Tokens and the Wheat's I found. The Misc. Finds I made consisted of 3 Rings, 1 is an Old Copper Snake Ring that says Real Copper on the inside which is a neat find, 1 is an Aluminum Ring with a Blue and Black Splatter Paint Design on it, and the other is a flattened Aluminum Kids Ring in the shape of a Heart, a Bullet, what is left of a Junior G-MAN Badge, and a Button that reads The Art Metal Works, Newark, NJ. on the Back. I will be posting Part 2 sometime around 9:00pm after I get the other finds Cleaned Up a bit. Thanks for Looking and Good Luck and HH to you all.
