Ordered mine yesterday. Will be here tomorrow. Have Excal, so will be using the E-Trac as my first dirt detector plus checking it out against the Excal in the wet surf.
Everything I have read and researched confirmed that the E-Trac was the right unit (vs. the V3) for: ease of use for a beginner and using it in trashy hunted out locations - i believe that both me and Long Island, NY qualify for the above scenario.
Was driving around locally today and looking at all the road signs for "this spot established 1752" and "that spot established 1785", etc - man there's alot of history here. I think I got the right tool for the job...
I'm sure this group will agree. Wish me luck.
 
I've had mine for about 3 weeks now. No doubt the E-Trac opens up old sites again. I'm loving that I don't have to look for new sites anymore.
