Just a note on some mods to my Fisher

I decided to double the depth on my f series detector so I increased the xsmit oscillator output, which of course required ten times the current so I use a ps-1270 7 amp hr gel cell belt mounted, but this still doesn't satisfy me so I'm modifying a Ramsey kit and going for anywhere from 500mw to 5 watt output, so I'll u s e a 51 amp hr battery, which weighs 40 lbs so I'll backpack-mount it.
I'll have to use wires the same size as car jumper cables leading to the control box because of the increased current requirements.
I also designed a an enclosure made of clear plexiglas on the bottom of the coil with a van de graff generator inside, so as I hunt on the beach it will look like electric lighting is emanating from the detector...this will be entertaining for onlookers and if kids get too close I can push the coil towards them and scare them off.
I will need to forgo a shovel or scoop in favor of a gas-powered auger, due to the depth capability. I should be able to manage.
I will keep you informed of my finds.
Eddie.

What is this ? April fools redux ?

I tried all that, but didn't think about using a auger and my 5' beach scoop wasn't long enough so I sold it all and now use the Fisher 36" DDDD coil. Almost to deep, too, though. Welcome. We do have some fun here. HH jim tn

Man your way behind Jim TN. He did all that stuff a couple years ago............. and now has on order the XDDDDDD 48" coil.

No, no, El, it's the 54" Oval concentric that's on order. Suppose to be shipped day/month/year. Hope it's as good as the tester Duffus Bumguard said it was. HH jim tn

Its good to hear about new products that have potential to come market, maybe apply for a gov.grant!!!!!!!!!!!---------------after1-----------

I'm sorry....this might be someone's idea of the perfect unit but not mine.
My perfect detector would have to have, must have, overhead constibles and a set of slip-shifters.
Also, of course, a self adjusting cup holder.

I'm not discouraged that someone already built this, I'm just worried that the warranty will be void.

Their such minor changes you made. Warranty should be good.

And you will be able to hunt at night without a headlamp because as soon as you step into the water your eyes will light up the area for several miles!:yo::fisher:

I Made a splitter fitting so I can mount six 10" coils on my F-75 and mounted the coils on the back of my golf cart. That way I can cover 4 ft of ground at one sweep...er drive

Some darn good sounding mods here, guys. Maybe we should pool our resources and start a detector co. Yeah, watch out Fisher, Garrett, and the rest of you upstarts out there. HH jim tn

I'm thinking I need to modify my F5 with double over head ash trays and install a set of hub cap bearings just to keep up with you guys.

With all the knock-off detectors coming from China, this will be good revenge. You should be able to pull in a few treasures from there, with just a bit more fine tuning.

I get tired digging anything deeper than 8 inches, so you will be getting a good aerobic workout.

Invisibility.org.com.net. Check out the two piece one for gal/guy and motorized detector. Not a bad price, either. A dollar three eighty apiece. HH jim tn
