Just Had a Very Eye-Opening Experience With My Explorer II...Long, But Worth The Read.

Used the stock coil. I have the 12.5" and 5" Excelerator but haven't tried them with the lower settings yet. I assume that at the sites where lower is better that the 12.5" might like 18 and the 5" might like 20 or so. Tomorrow will be my first time actually able to get out and hunt at a couple of sites and try "real world" with it.
 
:) The explorer 2 just has an amazing ability to weed out coins from just about anywhere this is fact. I went to a "worked out park" today and pulled out another 30 coins (no silver this time though), Nothing from much deeper than about 5 -6 inches but stuff others have missed. The explorer 2 is going to be a classic coin hunting machine for decades after it is ceased to be made. It does take an hundred hours of use though to start to master it.:yo:
 
Yes, this machine is unbelievable, isn't it. I wouldn't trade my Explorer XS for anything.
