Just ordered an Omega!

I have always fancied trying a Omega 8k over here in the UK,i still use may faithful old T2 that has never let me down and still has found me the most gold coins,i also use the SharpShooter coil that you are adding to the Omega that coil is one of the best coils that i have ever bought,my personal opinion it is of a much higher build quality than the stock coil but it also does everything else much better as well ie its lighter, pinpoints great and sensitive infact i cannot really fault it.

By adding the NEL coil to the Omega i reckon you will be very pleased with it,keep us updated.

just got the Nel sharp coil 5" for the O haven't tried it out yet but the cable is twice as thick as the stock coil so sure that could help with EMI fingers crossed , going to run this set up over places I have flogged with gold bug pro and stock 5" coil and see what pops up only reason I bought the O was to see how it does against the bug.
detecting environment junky modern parks.

took the O for a spin with the NEL 5" sharp, now I have nothing to compare this 1st run with as its the 1st time I used the O and I did it with the NEL coil, coil is very sensitive thought it may have been EMI but held the coil up in the air no noise so my finding of sensitive come from that test and of cause on ground use.

I was in a modern park with plenty of bigger can slaw it would try and lock on to items i.e. big aluminium so at 1st I wasn't so happy, was running flat out disc at about 50 as time went by I got better at hearing the falsing if you like, but dug 5 junk items and about 15 coins which isn't bad considering I have never used the machine before, the kicker for me was a woman's 925 silver bracelet of cause it was broken that's how it got there it was round link chain I am sure they have a name but it escapes me at this point, the patch I was working I had gridded with the gold bug pro and fisher 5" coil in 3 directions I wasn't gridding that day just wondering.

so with some more time with this coil and machine I am happy to have it in my kit, did well on the higher conductive coins then the silver bracelet so all in all pretty happy with the set up some fiddling with settings should produce smoother running.

just so you know it did lock on hard to the coins so with a bit of time spent with this set up any falsing will be easy to hear and it did pick up a 5 coin, coin spill that the gold bug must have told me was junk or maybe some other scenario as we all know there are so many variables in play.

but yes its a keeper for what I want it for.
