I am brand new to the forum and the hobby and just ordered an X Terra 305. Many of your reviews and discussions were very helpful during my research. Thank You!! I'm very excited with this new endeavor!!!

Congratulations! And welcome to the Xterra family!

We'll be looking forward to seeing what you find.

Welcome to the addiction:drool: Don't forget to download and read Randy Horton's e-book, Understanding Your X-terra. Great book, the Bible for X-Terra owners:please:

When you get out there, don't get discouraged if you don't find anything that knocks your socks off, patience grasshopper.
Soon you will learn to be one with the force, ahhhh geez I watch too many movies. Learn your machine and use a little creative thinking when searching out hunting sites. Where I live the parks are hammered to death so every where I drive I am always looking for evidence of old properties, etc. You might live in area that is a treasure trove of hunting sites, I hope so.
I can't wait to see what you find. Welcome to the addiction!

I am new to the 305 too. Got mine in Feb. But too much ice and snow till now.
Today I got out for a couple of hours late today in a park.
Still some ice and snow plus mud. I was able to scrape up a dime and 4 pennies. One was a wheat.
Good luck and have fun.

That is such a true statement.Location is gonna be your biggest challenge at finding stuff.Want old coins,go somewhere old.You can't find what's nit there, but if it's there the Xterra will find it.

Welcome to the forum and to the hobby or should I say the obsession.

Congratulations!
For my first detector I jumped into a 705 a little over a year ago.
Minelabs are wonderful machines.
I second the recommendation about downloading Randy's book. Lots of helpful information.
