Hey guys I just want to take the time to say thank you for all the help. Being new to the forum and the etrac you guys have been great and very welcoming. You vets are top notch and your advice and hospitality has been noted. Way to go guys.

Hey...welcome to the Etrac and the forum. In all honesty, the Etrac is really easy to use...one day it will click in your head and you will be on here giving tips. Its just a tool that tells you that you found some metal albeit a very smart one, and all you need to do is listen to what it is telling you, no more no less. If you like to push buttons and play with settings the Etrac will accomodate you. If you like to keep it simple and effective and swing til you drop, it will do that too. When it "clicks" for you, every time you hit the field, you go with confidence...and then you swing all day and find jack:rofl:Happy hunting...you will love your machine!

heck we were all new to the etrac at one point in time. i came directly from a whites 6000 di pro coinmaster from 1984 that i had used for 27 years. i cant imagine a wider leap than that, to an etrac, in a few different ways. mainly from going more on relying on my eyes than to my ears. the etrac is just a fun machine to use and if we arent swinging, we like to talk about swinging. :beers: ask away. especially now when a lot of us just dont have the option to swing even if we wanted to. too much snow and cold!

The learning curve in this hobby can be a challenge at times - but it's also one of the things that makes this hobby so much fun.
