Just Wondering..........

This thread has been very interesting. Thanks Lisa for starting it. Isn't it wonderful to see all the different denominations represented here and to know that we all are God's creation and all really belong to the one true Church that was purchased by God. It is also great to know that we can discuss our ideas, differences, needs, prayer request and just love one another.

Amen, goes4ever, as there is only One God, Who is three personalities are offices in One! Jesus said, If you seen Me, you've seen the Father! He was with God in the beginning and He is God and the Holy Spirit is God, I know this is strange to human-beings but Almighty God can do anything and be anything as long as it is the truth and fullfills the plans He has for us! Ma Betty
great post Ma.......I don't see why this is so hard for someone who believes in God to understand?

Denomination is just a name of a church with brothers and sisters that you feel comfortable to work and worship with. It doesn't matter what denomination you are as long as you are a blood bought, bible believing, spirit filled, child of GOD. The only difference is the man-made differences that we do the same thing, We all worship the same Father, Son & Holy Ghost, My wife and I have been Christan's for 34 yrs. We are members of an old time United Baptist church where I've been a deacon for around 30 years. I won't go into detail of how we do things because its not that important. What is important is that we are followers of Jesus Christ.
I've been building a web site for our church if any want to view it.

The site is still under construction so bear with me, This is just the second one I've built.
God Bless,
KyBud

Yes, toewarmers, I have read the Old Testament, for it foretells of Jesus' coming and predicted what would happen to Him when on the cross of Calvary! I guess you don't believe in His virgin birth, but it is true, for by virgin birth with no corrupted seed of man He was born without sin of any kind, so that way He could take the sins of the world upon Himself! He is God born in the flesh of man! He was fully God and fully man! Like I said, if you cannot understand this, then you need to seek God and have Him to give you the answers through His Holy Spirit guiding you by seeking and asking! The Bible comes alive when we are saved and filled with the Spirit of God, who leads us into all truth!

Pharoah had magicians and could do most of the things that Moses did with his staff, but he couldn't bring light into the darkness which had enveloped the Egyptians nor could he take Moses and the Israelites any longer after the people realized they wouldn't have peace until they let them go! And when they left they were loaded up with gold and treasures of the Egyptians....now would you do that? It was God Who did it all and had Moses to lead God's people out of Egypt. Jesus was saved from being killed by king Herod, who was jealous of Jesus (for the King was coming) and didn't want him to be ruler over him! He was taken to Egypt, where the Israelites stayed for 400 years plus until Moses took them out into the land of promise, but because they doubted God, even after He performed miracles for them, they wondered for 40 years in the desert (with their shoes and clothing never wearing out)----a miracle! God fed them Manna in the desert when they had nothing else to eat---a miracle! Moses hit a rock with His staff to bring forth water for their thirstiness and complaining they should have stayed in Egypt as slaves....but had been crying to be set free from slavery!

There were so many miracles that God and then as Jesus has done that if written in books-- the world could not hold them! I know God is a miracle making God and I know Jesus is my Lord and Savior, he has performed miracles in my life--- but I am sure you would say I am insane and out of my mind, if I told what He has done for me! One miracle was an angel standing by my bedside praying for me because I was in a very sorrowful condition from my ex leaving and then a divorce! Another time God painted my kitchen window with ice crystals of the cross with a deep crevace like between two hills like the ground splitting in half, for when He died there was a great earthquake and the ground split open and saints came out of their graves! Above the cross was a beautiful city of crystal with the sunlight shining through and showing our mansions up there! Now, this is true because as a born-again Christian I don't lie and would not lie if I could help it, for all liars will have their part in the Lake of Fire!

I have been blessed and shown too many things supernaturally of God that I cannot turn my back on Him and I know how peaceful and joyful Heaven will be in Jesus' pure agape love compared to what hell will be with the torturing flames of fire and brimstone tormenting lost souls who never believed or received Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior!

Now you can believe on not believe, but this is absolutely true and if satan works in the the supernatural, more so does God! I certainly believe in the Supernatural ways of God! Amen! Ma Betty

Hi KyBud! I used to go to the Beefork United Baptist Church....an old country church sitting on the hillside with lots of trees surrounding it! It has long time ago quit being a church and is in disrepair....was a hunting lodge for awhile....but I have fond memories of it as a child and was married there, all though the marriage fell apart after about 33 years of being married! Your church building looks a lot like mine was (an old country church) but ours was never painted so looked weathered and gray...it had a wood stove in the middle to warm us in the wintertime! An altar for the preacher and prayers!

May God bless you with good sermons and anoint you to preach the Gospel Word of Jesus! Amen! Ma Betty

I would rather live my life believing in Jesus, and find out at the end that Jesus didn't exist than to live my life not believing and find out at judgement day that Jesus is real. I pray that you have a change in mind and find him.
God Bless,

Doesn't matter to me.....

Good stuff guys and dolls.

toewarmers glad you stopped by and hope you come again. You may not believe God exists but He believes in you. Have you read the entire Old Testament and the New Testament to go along with it. They do go hand in hand, you know. Each holds keys to the other. If it were only fiction it would still be the most valuable works ever compiled. There is no better book that can advise you on how to live a life that is happy, healthy and prosperous.

I have to believe it takes a great deal of faith to believe God does not exist, to bellieve in nothing. You see we both have faith, my faith has an ultimate destination and so does yours.

With faith you need no proof and yet proof abounds. With out faith one must have proof and yet none can be found. Is that what one would call a paradox?

Baptised as a babe Catholic. Teen years in Spokane Valley Naz. Baptised as an adult in a small loosely Babptist church.

Currently attend North Country Chapel, pastor Bob Davis. North Country Chapel is a non-denominational Calvary Chapel. Best thing here is the man will not comprimise the word of God. I attend on Monday nights because I work on Sundays. Mondays are my day of rest.

May be able to go on a short trip to Guatemala this summer to help in a group of clinics with my old church. Went... wow 3 1/2 years ago already and it was awsome. Only 10 days but we accomplished a ton working with several full time missionary doctors there.

Be filled with the fire of God

Jeff

Ma Betty, that was sure some good stuff you wrote! I read it all, I really enjoyed it, terrific!

toewarmers, the absolute perfection of the existence of the earth, its temperatures-seasons, and everthing that lives here. Would be like an explosion in a print shop and an Encylopedia just happened to come out of it by chance. No, it is not at all possible with intellegent design and planning. Yes about 30,000 per day, or 10 million kids die per year on the earth, and also God is very real, both are true. Just because bad things happen does not mean God does not exist.

to witness for Jesus! I get bored at times unless I am challenged and this post by Lisa has sure challenged me! I love God, in Jesus' name, so much that I couldn't give Him enough praise and glory for what He's done in my life! Without Him, I would be dead already, and not being used to spread the Gospel of Jesus! God had a plan for my life but it wouldn't have been done with my ex-husband, so God worked it out for my good and for His purpose! I made a promise as a child that if he answered my prayer, for my mother to win a prize in the store's drawing that I would serve Him forever! The first ticket drawn was for someone who wasn't present, and you had to be there in person, so the second one was my mother's! She never had any jewelry to amount to anything, so she won a beautiful set of jewelry! I still have it and if I can find it without too much trouble, I will try to post a pic of it! Well, even though we went to church and took our children, I did not really keep that promise, but He made sure that I did and do keep it! Was a horribly, rough and terrible time to get over but Jesus brought me through and helped me to overcome! Even though I knew about Jesus, I really didn't know Him as my own personal Savior like I do now! I am so glad that He loved me so much that He gave His own life for me that I might be saved and I am! Glory Hallelujah....Praise God and Thank You, Jesus!

I hope and pray that God will touch toewarmers' heart in His loving and caring way and that he will believe in Jesus, accept and serve Him faithfully as a born-again Christian! When he truly believes, He will have the joy in his soul that he knows not right now, and will have the strength to keep on, keepin' on serving Jesus as a true believer and faithful servant of God! Amen!

Please keep on posting on here and giving me encouragement to continue! I don't detect very much any more so don't have any goodies to show, but do have many to show pics of since 1981, when I really started detecting and finding coins, relics and lots of trash! I was wondering does anyone want to see the stuff my ex and I dug up that I kept while we were detecting together and then by myself and/or with detecting friends??

I have a bag of odds and ends down stairs and if anyone is interested I will try to get it upstairs and go through it and take pics! It is heavy because there is a lot of metal weighing it down and Ma isn't very strong any more with Osteo-Arthritis and COPD making it more diffricult for me to do anything, especially carrying stuff upstairs from the basement! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
