how are the state by state site books they offer? i was thinking about the wisconson one

I bought the book "Site Locator For Minnesota" ... Ghost towns, Old forts etc.. It has GPS coordinates ... very precise. I have gained tons of valuable info from it. Highly recommended ..

thanks dave that helps

Just check to make sure those sites are not on Federal or State historical/archeological registers/lands. That would ruin your day.

Yes, more research beyond the book is definately suggested. Don't want to step on any BIG toes. Get yourself a plat book from your county land office.

Dont know what those books cost .... but often you can buy an old, say 1900 county by count Atlas that can give a wealth of history info as well.
