KS 1917 passed test tag

Looks like a bar of either babbitt or lead. I can't quite read the manufacturers name. It might help if you can tell us what it says.
 
Says "made by salt lake stamp co salt lake city UT". I have tried google and have found nothing on this tag so far. It is around 4 inches long and doesnt bend easily. It has a hole on one side and a barb on the other side to hook together
 
Ok, so it's not a bar of Babbitt or lead. Maybe someone will have some luck ID'ing it from the manufacturers name.
