Just some stats: over 1500 entrants; average 100,000+ visitors; three street bands;
vendors; 6 major streets downtown closed off for the cars (the city park as well) and
the casino parking lot: 95 degree weather and lots of short shorts and tank tops:thumbup:

Here is the first car we saw. Had my wife stand there because of her British ancestry.

And what self respecting classic's show would leave this guy out.......one of the best I've heard
(and I heard many). Here he's doing his "military stint" show. Great day, Boys!

I was really impressed with all of them but have a soft spot for the street rods. That orange one is awesome but any of the street rods
would work for me. Great how they are all over town. Sure was a hot one to be out in the sun. Funny, when the Edsels were new, no one would look at them. Now, they look great. I wonder what cars will take up the slack 40 years from now, besides the vettes and vipers, mustangs, camera and some Pontiac's.

I would have liked to have been at that one myself. Great job with the pictures. Enjoyed the post. Grabbed some for screen savers also if you don't mind.

mine was a 58. They had louvers on the hood.

I used to go to the Detroit Auto Show every year but have not in 30 years now.
