Last 3 days finds

These are my finds from the last three days with my XLT. Soil is very wet where i'm at, and weather conditions have been spectacular. Tomorrow is suppose to be cloudy with temps around 60, not bad for November in Pennsylvania!
Mercs are 1941 and 1929, no mint marks. I also pulled a 1918 & 1920 Wheatie from the same hole. Mercs and Wheaties were all found today. I was always told by my friend George, who got me into detecting back in 1981, that any day you come home with silver is a good day detecting, it was a good day!

Silver is great but I love that cannon........ Nice hunting.

Some interesting finds, and Silver is NEEVR bad...I like the cannon, and always find the old lipstick containers interesting...

HH,

I agree about the Silver. I also found an interesting lipstick holder a couple years ago. It says Barbara Gould Cosmetics on the outside, it's about an inch in diameter and made of copper or brass. You open it up and dip your finger into the lipstick to apply it, and it has a small mirror on the inner part of the lid. Very Cool!

Not sure about the age of the cannon, wonder how I could find out? Can't find any markings on it, and it seems to be made out of lead or pewter.
Here's a couple pics of todays finds. I managed to find a small cache of 10 coins that appear to all be Wheaties but I haven't got them cleaned up enough yet to see. Looks like they were in the small leather pouch in the pic. Pretty cool anyhow. Finds like that are few and far between.
