Last 3 outings gets me some Silver, Wheats, and a few Misc.

James sounds like you did good at Lindenwood with that many silver. I wanted to get back around the picnic shelter this year, but always something go on there so I couldn't. I wanted to try my E-Trac there with the Joey or the X-8 as I feel there is some good coins hiding in with all that trash.

Now you got to go back to work Monday, too bad your week off the weather wasnt better for you.

Rick

I'm glad I was able to find what I did those outings and now I know where I can start in the Spring if the ground becomes rock hard and the snow starts to fly before then. Thanks again GR and Good Luck and HH to you on your hunts.:detecting:

can be very cold and miserable but for the most part, it really doesn't get too bad. When the ground gets hard and there's snow on the ground, I pack it in for the winter and just do more research to keep me busy. If I didn't hit that spot on the 2nd outing, I wouldn't of got the 10 Silver out of 3 Wheats Day in a matter of a few hours and my finds would have been pretty small....but you never know until you start working a spot so who knows if I could have done better with my original plan. Hope your finds are equal in quantity Ron and Good Luck and HH to you on your next outing.

all that Silver coming out of the ground in such a short time and the Mickey Mouse Watch was a super cool item to recover. If I'm unable to keep diggin' in the dirt Phil, I will be diggin' into the history books which I have already started doing. Thanks for the reply and Good Luck and HH to you.

The ground could have froze up and we could have gotten a lot of snow like up in the northwest part of the state but we were lucky enough to get just a trace of that system so I am happy that I was able to get out for the amount of time I did and find what I did, even though I didn't get what I was hoping for. There's always next year though. I know in the Spring, your coming along when the river sub-sides and your going to get an early start on Silver for the year because I'm going to take you to the exact spot that still has Silver left. Thanks for the reply Rick and Good Luck and HH to you if your able to make it out again before we get snow.

I haven't found a Large Cent since those are pretty hard to come by around here but I'm sure there are a few somewhere to be found. There have been a few found by others but I have yet to get lucky enough to dig one so I couldn't tell you what they would read. I would imagine that they would read high like it did when you tried it though due to how big they are. Sorry to hear you didn't get anything great again on your hunt but give it time....it'll change. Hope the Pistol Probe works well for you and no-one thinks you have a gun of some sort. Good Luck and HH to you.

Got it! I'll reply later today. Good Luck and HH to you on Sunday.
