It has been in the mid teens in the mornings around here but it warmed up to the mid 50's this afternoon so I took off with my Etrac to get in one last hunt for February. I door knocked at a house that I have been wanting to try for a while now. I mainly stayed in the front yard and it produced a few keepers for me. I started out with a few Wheaties along the sidewalk and then got a nice sounding signal that read solid in every direction at 22-44 and I was surprised to see a Merc in the hole. I went on to find a few more Wheats then the 1901 Indian Head and close by was the 1899 V Nickel just barely made it into the 1800's. I also found my share of Hot Wheels cars, shotgun headstamps and two brass squirrels, which is a first for me
I found a fired 3 ringer Minie Ball and a little ring that has Donald, Mickey, & Pluto on it. It was a beautiful day to hunt and I was happy to see this warm weather, I just spring gets here for everyone soon. HH David
