Today I hunted the cornfield where I found 4 bullets on Tuesday. The .36 caliber Colt pistol (last row, first from right) was right on top of the ground. I think two of the Sharps are ringtails. The piece of brass with the twisted wires is part of a rifle cleaning rod (I think).
While walking back toward the Jeep I got a signal that I thought was junk, too shallow for a bullet or so I thought. I passed it up and went another 10 feet and then thought about it and decided to go back and see what I was going to leave behind. Glad I did as it was a .44 caliber Colt. I left it in the dirt it was found in. When in doubt check it out!
Time to head back to Pennsylvania.
