Got permission last week to hunt a property where a for sale sign just went up. Home was demolished around this past Christmas. There is plenty of debris as the remains of the home was pushed to the back of the approximately 80 x 200 foot lot. Decided to hunt in coin/high density. Found several wheaties,'36,40,44,51 & a no date one, so I figured there should some silver here. Worked my way from the pebble/gravel driveway to the backyard and got a nice 38-39 high tone. At just 4-5 inches plucked my 3rd Barber dime & second 1913 plain. Tarnished, but good detail. It's the only silver at the site, so far. In addition, found a dog tag with two addresses, one on each side. Phone numbers yes, but no area codes given, so I gotta believe it's prior to 1951 when area codes officially were released....I think.
Too bad the Hand Med Co bottle was shattered, old door knob (sweet 38 tid ) and drawer handle. And of course, a Palace Amusement token, Asbury Park, NJ. Thanks for looking.
