Found these last thur afternoon, but just got to post them now. one is an 1891 Indian and the other a 1886 V-nick thanks for looking, Dan

Paul, the other side is a little sour. In this spot that's how it seems to go. One side is real nice, the other real bad.

i find the stock coin program dosen't hit on nickels real well. I use Andy's program and it is just awesome.

I also use Andy's program and seem to get the nickels. When I hit them though they are usually textbook 12-13/14. That being said I haven't dug up ones that are very deep, less than 5 inches.

I am using Andy's coin program too I have just a little more disc out to allow a faster sweep and ground coverage the #'s on this one were weird. If I recall it was 10/10 9/10 @6-7 inches before I dug I thought it was a bullet. It did give a nice clear repeatable signal though. it was with the pro coil.

Nice V nickel. Too bad about the front side. You realize that an 1886 is a key date V? Not as rare as the 1885, but it starts out in G-4 at about $180.00 (2006 Red Book) Mintage is 3,326,000. So you have a great nickel there.
