Last XT70 Hunt and 1st E Trac Hunt...

Hello all!

I have been detecting for about 18 months now and have used the Minelab X-Terra 70 for 16 of the 18 months... I hunt mostly public places, but do get onto the occasional property / yard... I recently made the decision to move up to the E-Trac and opened all the boxes last night and got in my fist hunt today with her...

But 1st I have to post my last XT70 finds...

It had been a long few weeks and I've not been out and I had 1 hour of sun light left after I arrived at a local school. This school was built in 1907 and I've found many wheats, 1 merc, and one no dater buffalo... So I decided for the hour... this was to be the place....

I ended the hour with 2 keepers....

1914 D Barber Dime... My 5th Barber Dime for the year...

So.... E-Trac out of the box... battery pack all charged... I headed out to the bank yard (150X70)... Figiured I could see if I missed anything and get a feel for the all settings... I just started in the stock Coin mode...

5 minutes in I get my 1st solid signal..

1925 Wheaty... Nice for my 1st dig with the Etrac...

I decide to head back over to the school that yielded the Barber for a few hours...

I did manage 2 more wheaties...

1916 and another 1925...

The largest sinker I've ever dug... boy did this thing scream! There is a wooden handle pocket knive in there...

A suspender buckle...

A fist full of clad, junk ring... newer buttons...

Part of a Ring... looks like a horse shoe with a man in the middle...

My initial thought... Oh my god the pin pointing so spot on and a snap... Learning curve is not to bad... I feel like I have the basics...

I need to get Andy's Coin program... is that here somewhere ??

Thank you for looking...

Congrats on the great finds.

Next time you go out, do this: Recover a nice, old target, then scan the area again. See how times you have an iron null within inchs of the keeper.

So far for me, it has been about 90% of my keeps from this old, heavily hunted park I've been searching.
