Legend 2 might be on the move soon

Eh. I'm done trading up. I care more about weight than whatever 'magic' this detector can perform.
Still being impressed with Manticore magic. And I doubt the Legend 2 can top it. As far as weight, I have an R& B battery and I use the 9 in. coil, not sure of the weight but I can swing it for 5 or 6 hours without any arm or shoulder fatigue. I have a little over 100 hours on the original Legend and from what I've seen it edges out the 900 but lags a bit behind to the 800. Let me say my results are from the same areas of 2 old parks. Your results may show different results. I'll take a wait and see approach. Good luck to those that take the jump.

Don't think we're getting out anytime soon here in western Pennsylvania mark, I don't mung the snow but I'm not picking frozen ground.
I don't see many legend 2s being sold, I think everyone is pretty much over the wheel being reinvented.Wasnt bad having a company release something new once in awhile, but anymore it's just unjustifiably to keep buying everything

I'm curious if minelab will carry the pulse vlf mixed tech of the 2000 to a beach or treasure machine.
Running a program like the Explorer's.

And I gotta agree with you, and have said this before, metal detectors are not like a fridge or TV s where there will be one or two in every house. Its a finite market, the cost of R&D development then production. At what point is enough too much ? You're right, its almost every year someone puts out another latest and greatest. The Manticore will be my last machine unless there is truly a new break through. Not just putting a new pair of silk stockings on the same old pig. I hope I'm wrong but I remember when Minelab brought out the 900 to address all the gripes and build issue's, and in that respect it was a success. However they also created some new issues that veteran 800 users found intolerable. I hope the Legend 2 doesn't follow that trend. I felt Nokta got it right with 0-60 VDI scale, and they widened it with Legend 2. Will be curious to see how L2 will handle it. That was one of my main gripes with the 900. Some user's seem to love their 900 and God bless em. Just wasn't for me. Stay warm Pete.
