So, I was wondering what everyone thinks that uses this machine? Will there be updates, anything wrong with it at the moment? I suck at updates , had one successful attempt once in a deus 1 and just don't even try anymore on anything. So when I buy a newer machine I hope to get it with the best updates already.

Hi woodbutcher, I was one of the final field testers so I can't say as much as I would like to due to the NDA that I had to agree to.

After the latest public software update V1.02, detecting with the Legend 2 got a lot more fun at least for me. Nokta tuned up the ID mapping especially for higher magnetite mineralized dirt like I detect on and it made it easier for Legend 2 to really hone in on mid and low conductor targets with more stable target IDs. That helped me find this beauty in the first hunt using V1.02 software.....7.4 grams of 14K gold.

Also a couple or other recent Legend 2 hunts in half frozen ground. All of the silver coins were 8" or more deep.

So Legend 2 can obviously hunt.

Would I have found all of those targets with Legend 1? Maybe, but I would not have enjoyed swinging Legend 1 nearly as much as I enjoy swinging Legend 2 because of its much lighter weigh, easy to custom fit arm cuff adjustments and good balance even with the stock 11" coil. Legend 2 has a bit more useable depth from comparing it to Legend 1 using 11" coils, it has faster target recovery speed, better iron separation and way better audio quality both from the speaker and from headphones. There are more improvements too that could take a while to list so I won't.

Yes, there will be some more updates. There are a couple of very minor issues that have been reported by actual owners that pre-ordered that will need to be fixed like difficulty pairing the headphones and Accupoint pinpointer, too much time out between changing modes and some onboard pinpoint function anomalies.

Nokta will get them straightened out.

Updating via Bluetooth using an iPhone or Android phone is super easy. There will be a phone app available for that very soon. No need to try to update with a computer and hard wiring. I was able to do the phone updates really well so it is almost idiot proof if I can do it.

I went out yesterday for abt 3 hrs, my 1st coin was a 52 quarter, no doubt my L1 woulda found it but you know how it is 🤣. It was an absolute pleasure to swing! I had to put the rubber racket tape on the handle, only thing I don't like is the handle. Installed a couple programs, went in and out, switched up things on the fly, no problem, never would've attempted with the L1. Paired my Jam lo latency hps from Amazon, which I like because I don't always like my ears covered, no problem. Had zero hiccups with anything.Like Jmaclen said, its much more fun than L1.

Thanks for the replies, appreciate it. Have you guys ever used a equinox 900? If so what's the performance compared to the Legend 2
