Have probably forgotten more about the knox 800 from my long break than I could hope to learn anytime soon but I read up on a few pointers, took the 800 out to an old farmstead that was once part of an 1880's fairgrounds. Long story short I made a few adjustments. Cranked up recovery speed not quite to max, fe and f2 settings up as well and hunted in 10 kHz all day instead of multi. I didn't notice any loss of depth whatsoever and smooth stable hunting all day, not very much iron dug for a change. This find made me cringe. Oh I love silver, would never complain! But something this new at 10-12" took the wind out of me! The Duchess and I had a ball though, time we'll spent!! Happy hunting all, JJ
