We need a larger coil that offers depth improvements over the 9" coil. Do u agree:csflag:

Surely there are relic hunters out here needing a few more inches than the current large coil has to offer.

The large coil they offer adds grnd coverage but adds little to no depth for its size thatsM bizarre.

Yes they havve a nice large coil but offers little depth added from ths stock coil:crylol:

I noticed that the larger coil really makes deeper targets more defined either by sound or by id, that the 9" coil had a little bit of a struggle on the very edge of detection.

LOL Its never good enough! I WANT MORE! nothing wrong with that i guess.. i see your point.

Just
Askimg people to see if they could use a little more performance out of a really great detector. Not looking for snide comments from armchair detectorist. Read all the poast before trying to piss someone off. Relic hunters likr myself could use an inch or two when detecting with buddies with minelabs.

HMM.. not sure what to tell ya then. I'm just in it for the fun and to meet new people. I'm sure XP will come out with something better. Goodluck and HH.

Gene t. Im glad u get all u need out of the big coil. Hope u many great finds. But this poast was really for thoee who wantwd a coil that went a little deeper. I may be the only person who could use more depth in the relic fields. I love my deus and in all the other applications i use it for im very happy. Maby now that i have made my self more clear on my target user ill stop gettting poasts from people who r happy with the performance of the larger coil. Im not trying to be ugly but its a bad habbit i have noticed many times on the form.

Like Mr. W..... I'm looking for a small coil ......I believe that there is a huge gold rush market .... that a 5 or 6 inch coil would open and take by storm....have tested gold nuggets on the stock coil and it is an eye opener....
I have the large coil and I find about 2 inches or more depth than the stock coil from various ground values lowering the reactivty 0 and 0 disc & 202 Hz on second tone of 3 or 4 tones TX3, 94 -99 receiver gain digging with a shovel will hurt you....Not to even talk about mastering All metal non motion audio tone discrimination ....I have an Etrac one the first ones and paid it for itself in the first 30 days.. i hunt with an open screen....sometimes maxed out in manual gain .....I know what it can do ....great machine .....But the Deus can hold it own and then some ....its all about putting in the time .....either one.. the meter is a goner... at the depths I dig... after a site is cleaned up ...Its all in the sound and knowing WHAT she is saying...
Sorry this is so long ....I'm sure with the next Flash upgrade for the XP Deus will just turn the Deus... into a Monster Deus......but right now i am content to Master all the coils and features available and Make my own LUCK.
I'm sure they'll have a 15 by 18 for the hardy boys....& young whippersnapppers.......but give me a small coil and show me where dem butt heavy Pi's been huntin....:starwars:

Happy Trails

why dont you get one and try it?

the whole idea is using what is there for your spots
understarnd your ground and search needs n? well simple!!,it goes deep, iv dug big lumps 50+cms
alas by the sounds of it theres nuffing left deep in your spots or have you just been tintanetin n spawning pants lol

Im hopeing the larger coil tbey offer now will help more than some everyday users have told me it will. I have been told by several reliable sources one a dealer all three very seasoned pro. On deus that large coil offers better ground coverage but very little depth improvement here in southeast u.s.a. $500 is a large risk for a disabled pwrson on fixed income. I hope it will give me what im looking for depth wise. I cant stress enough how much i love my deus! Just need to see 9/12" on bullets. Thanks guyes for all ur imput and God bless u all......jeremi

jmann, I have the large coil and would be willing to let you try it out to see if it get's you the depth you are looking for. If you are interested, send me a PM with your address. I'll send it to you. All I ask is that you treat it with tender loving care and report back on the forum your findings.
